The german ZVEI (Fachverband Electronic Components and Systems) announced a turnover of semiconductors in Germany for the month of October 2006 that was substantially above that of the previous month but 3% less than the same month in the previous year. In September the turnover, compared to the same month in the previous year, was minus 4% (corrected) and in August it was minus 8%. Cumulated, the growth in Germany in the first ten months of the year 2006 was therefore 3% less than the same period of the previous year. For the whole year 2006 the ZVEI also foresees a minus of 3% compared to 2005. The Book-to-Bill ratio in October was 0.98.
