Happy Jobs

The results of the competition to find “Germany’s best employer” for 2005 were published yesterday. The study carried out by Forschungs- und Beratungsinstitut psychonomics as representative for the Great Place to Work Institute Deutschland, in cooperation with the business magazine “Capital”, named 50 companies with the cachet of "Germany’s Best Employer 2005”. In the electronics field the following companies were represented in the order of ranking of the top 50: Vector Informatik in place 6, Texas Instruments in place 16, Rohde & Schwarz in place 38 and National Instruments in place 42. In first place, as in the two previous years, was the software company Microsoft. Evaluation criteria for these rankings were statements by the employees on the subject of credibility, respect and fairness of management, identification and team orientation in the company as well as a personnel culture audit with those responsible for the personnel. Besides the Top 50 list, the evaluation was also carried out separately in different size classes for the company. There, the companies mentioned above were able to even improve their placings. 110 companies took part with approximately 36,000 employees questioned.
