Global Chip Sales in October 2005 05-12-05

Worldwide sales of semiconductors surpassed $20 billion in October, a new milestone for the industry, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA). Worldwide semiconductor sales of $20.0 billion increased by 6.75 percent from the $18.8 billion reported for October 2004. Sales were up 2.5 percent sequentially from the $19.6 billion reported for September.
