Globalfoundries, a semiconductor foundry company recently formed by a joint venture between AMD and Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC), announced Jim Kupec as its new senior vice president of sales and marketing. He brings an impressive legacy of foundry sales and marketing experience as the former President of United Microelectronics Company (UMC) USA. Most recently, Kupec served as Chief Operating Officer of eSilicon, a provider of ASIC design and manufacturing services. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years with Cypress Semiconductor.
Other executives of the company are CEO: Doug Grose, Chairman of the Board: Hector Ruiz, Senior vice president and general manager of Fab 1: Jim Doran.
