The sales of semiconductors in Germany in August, according to ZVEI, was plus 1.5 percent on a Dollar basis and thus slightly above that of the previous month. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the dollar-based sales increased by 5.3 percent after a plus of 4.2 percent in July 2008 and plus 6.2 percent in June 2008. Cumulated, the growth on a Dollar basis in Germany in the first 8 months of 2008 compared to the same time period of the previous year was plus1.6 percent.
