The sales of semiconductors in Germany, according to ZVEI, was minus 0.2% on a Dollar basis and thus slightly below that of the previous month. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the sales increased by 4 percent. Cumulated, the growth on a Dollar basis in Germany in the first 7 months of 2008 compared to the same time period of the previous year was plus1 percent. On a Euro basis the cumulated growth in the first 7 months of 2008, compared with the first 7 months of 2007 was minus 12 percent. The Book-to-Bill ratio, an indicator of the medium-term trend was 0.98 in the previous month. Beginning with July 2008 the ZVEI does report its semiconductor market statistics on a Dollar basis.
