Today, for the 5th time, the Hermes award was presented in Hannover, Gemany at the "Hannover Messe 2008". This year it went to Zenergy Power GmbH, Rheinbach and the Bültmann GmbH, Neuenrade for the HTS induction heater for energy-saving block heating. With the HTS induction heater it is possible to achieve a doubling of the effectiveness due to superconducting coils and thus to achieve great savings in extruding in the energy-intensive metalworking.

A jury had nominated a short list of 5 companies for the Hermes Award 2008 from a list of more than 50 competitors. This award, worth 100,000 Euro is presented each year during the opening ceremonies of the Hanover Fair.
