Infineon's Supervisory Board nominated Wolfgang Mayrhuber (63) as the designated Supervisory Board Chairman. The Supervisory Board will propose Wolfgang Mayrhuber for election to the Supervisory Board at the 2011 Annual General Meeting (AGM) taking place on February 17th 2011. Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Klaus Wucherer, who currently performs this role, will step down as Supervisory Board Chairman after the AGM and give up his seat on the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board will then elect its new Supervisory Board Chairman.
The Supervisory Board also appointed Dominik Asam (41) as the new Chief Financial Officer. Dominik Asam has gained financial experience at Goldman Sachs. He was subsequently responsible for Strategy and Investor Relations at Infineon, before taking on top management roles with plenty of entrepreneurial freedom at Siemens, including CEO of Siemens Financial Services. He is currently in charge of Group Controlling at RWE. Asam will take up the role of CFO on January 1st, 2011.
