In the fourth quarter of financial year 2009 Infineon’s turnover was 855 million Euros which was 12% more than the value for Q3/2009 and 18% below the figure for the comparable period of the previous year. The group recorded a surplus of 14 million Euros for the report period. Turnover for the financial year 2009 was 3.027 billion Euros compared with 3.903 billion Euros in the previous financial year. In 2009 the group reported an annual net loss of 671 million Euros compared with 3.75 billion Euros in 2008.

• Industrial & Multimarket: turnover 905 million Euros (23% down on 2008), profit: 35 million Euros
• Chip cards/Security: turnover 341 million Euros (27% down on 2008), loss: 4 million Euros
• Wireless: turnover 917 million Euros (3% down on 2008), loss: 36 million Euros
• Other areas: turnover 17 million Euros (9% down on 2008), loss: 13 million Euros
