Infineon: results for the first quarter 2012 01-02-12


The turnover of Infineon in the first quarter of the 2012 business year was 946 million Euro which is 9% below the value of Q4/2011 and 3% below that of the comparable period of the previous year. For the reported period, the company reported a profit of 96 million Euro. This is 23% less than in the previous quarter and 59% less than in Q1/2011. 

 

Results according to business segments (in comparison to Q1/2011)

  • Automotive: turnover 391 million Euro (+10%), segment profit: 55 million Euro
  • Industrial & Multimarket: turnover 418 million Euro (-1%), segment profit: 79 million Euro
  • Chip cards/security: turnover 97 million Euro (-1%), segment profit: 6 million Euro)
  • Other products: turnover 43 million Euro (+5%), segment profit: 4 million Euro
