Infineon sells sci-worx to Silicon Image 09-01-07

The Infineon subsidiary sci-worx has been sold to Silicon Image for 13.5 m US$. Sci-worx, which was founded in 1990 in Hanover as Sican, develops IPs for multimedia, communications and network solutions. The company presently employs 172 people. Silicon Image will continue to serve present sci-worx customers and also extend its own IP program.
