The Han 3A modules from Harting can be fitted with up to four SC fibre optic contacts and due to optimised tolerances the use of multi-mode or single mode fibres is possible. The use of standard SC contacts in Han 3 A hoods and housings provides a cost effective solution when fibres are to be connected in a harsh industrial environment. Standard hoods and housings can provide a degree of protection up to IP67 and with the use of HPR versions IP68 can be achieved.
