Integrated Boost Converter in Ultra-Thin MLP 18-04-07

The FAN5336 high-frequency integrated boost converter from Fairchild Semiconductor allows designers to achieve a 87 percent system efficiency, low EMI and board space savings in a wide range of small LCD bias supply and white LED backlight designs. This 1.5MHz switching boost converter features a output-voltage range of 9 -33V and integrates a switching NFET into an ultra-thin-profile, molded leadless package (UMLP) that measures 3mm x 3mm x 0.6mm. In addition the FAN5336 offers features for system reliability including cycle-by-cycle current limit, 1.5A peak current support and soft-start capability. The FAN5336 is available in 6-terminal UMLP and MLP packages. These lead (Pb)-free packages meet or exceed the requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020C and are compliant with European Union regulations now in effect. The Price (each, 1000 pcs) is US$ 0.91 (3 x 3 x 0.6mm, UMLP) or US$ 0.86 (3 x 3 x 0.8mm, MLP).
