Intel buys Zarlink’s Tuner and Demodulator Division 11-10-05

Intel has bought the digital Tuner and Demodulator Division of Zarlink, the Canadian chip producer for 70 m US$. This division, situated in Swindon, England had a turnover last year of 53 m US$. In the future, Zarlink will produce modules for optical networks.
