The trade association Electronic Components and Electronic Industry, ZVEI (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie) is working on a new quality standard for semiconductor products in automobile applications. The aim is to achieve an efficient testing and approval procedure. The idea is to increase the reliability of electronic control devices in the automobile and to have lower guarantee costs.
