Intersil sells EEPROM sector to IC Microsystems 21-01-05

Intersil is taking leave of its EEPROM department and is selling it for an undisclosed sum to IC MIcrosystems. The memory product line was acquired in March together with the analogue department for over 500 M US$ from Xicor. IC Microsystems is a company with headquarters in Malaysia and manufactures Mixed Signal ICs.
