Kemet to reduce headcount in its Monterrey facilities 17-10-06

Kemet announced a cost-reduction initiative in its Monterrey, Mexico, facilities that will reduce headcount by approximately 400 people. This will be accomplished through a combination of normal attrition, release of temporary employees, and a reduction-in-force affecting approximately 120 people. The cost associated with the reduction-in-force will be approximately $800,000, with a savings of over $4 million per year. Kemet provides capacitance solutions, including surface-mount capacitor technologies across tantalum, ceramic and solid aluminum dielectrics.
