Lattice Semiconductor announced financial results for the second quarter ended July 4, 2009. For the second quarter, revenue was $46.9 million, an increase of 8% from the $43.3 million reported in the prior quarter, and a decrease of 19% from the $58.1 million reported in the same quarter a year ago.

FPGA revenue for the second quarter was $17.2 million, an increase of 11% from the $15.5 million reported in the prior quarter, and an increase of 28% from the $13.4 million reported in the same quarter a year ago. PLD revenue for the second quarter was $29.7 million, an increase of 7% from the $27.8 million reported in the prior quarter, and a decrease of 34% from the $44.7 million reported in the same quarter a year ago. Other income (expense), net, for the second quarter was income of $0.2 million compared to an expense of $0.5 million reported in the prior quarter and an expense of $10.5 million reported in the same quarter a year ago.

Net loss for the second quarter was $2.7 million ($0.02 per share), compared to a prior quarter net loss of $5.8 million and a net loss of $13.6 million reported in the same quarter a year ago.
