LeCroy buys Catalyst Enterprises 03-10-06

LeCroy has acquired Catalyst Enterprises, a manufacturer of data bus analysis and emulation tools for advanced serial data communications, for $30 million in cash and a $3.5 million note. Catalyst will be integrated into the Protocol Solutions Group. Catalyst was founded as a private company in 1992 in San Jose, California with the purpose of developing advanced instrumentation tools for established and emerging data bus technologies For the trailing 12 months ended September 30, 2006, on a cash basis, Catalyst's revenues grew 64.6% to $10.4 million from $6.3 million during the prior 12-month period. As of September 30, 2006, Catalyst had 28 employees.
