Leica Microsystems Semiconductor segment to be sold 28-09-05

The semiconductor segment of Leica Microsystems is to be sold to the American finance investor Golden Gate Capital. From the start of July, Leica Microsystems has been owned by Danaher who took over the company for 450 million Euro. Golden Gate is now purchasing the whole of the semiconductor business including the production facilities in Wetzlar, Weilburg, Jena and Cambridge in England. According to the two companies, all the working conditions for the employees will remain in force. A price for the sale was not announced.
