Lew Platt, last CEO of the "old” Hewlett-Packard dies 13-09-05



Lew Platt

Lew Platt died last Thursday the 8th September 2005 at the age of 64. In 1993, Platt succeeded David Packard as chief of the original Hewlett-Packard. He led the company until it split in 1999 into the instrumentation and semi-conductor branches, the present Agilent. From 1999 until July 2005 he was a member of the board of Directors of the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing.
