Loh to remain at the head of German Electronic Manufacturer’s Association 26-09-08


Friedhelm Loh was confirmed in his position as President of the ZVEI-Zentralverband Elektrotechnik und Elektronikindustrie [German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturer’s Association] for a further three years. Loh is the owner and Chairman of the board of Friedhelm Loh Stiftung & Co. KG in Haiger, Germany. He has been a member of the board since 2002, became Vice President in 2004 and has been President since 2006. There are about 1,600 member companies in the ZVEI employing more than 820,000 people. According to estimates by Loh, the German electro-industry will grow this year by approximately 4 percent and thus about twice the rate of the German economy as a whole. For 2009 the new and old President foresees a growth of around 2 percent.
