LSI Logic appointed Badar Baqai as Vice President Engineering of the IP Products and Solutions organization within Custom Solutions Group Marketing. Baqai will lead the IP Products and Solutions organization to internally develop differentiating silicon, robust intellectual property (IP) and establish a network of third-party IP providers to develop a comprehensive IP portfolio. Previously, Baqai was CEO of Cautella, a Silicon Valley-based start-up company. He has also held executive positions at Silicon Image, Fujitsu Microelectronics and Sun Microsystems.
