Magma Design Automation, a provider of semiconductor design software, announced the acquisition of ACAD, a developer of simulation and power analysis solutions for ICs. A key product of ACAD is FineSim Pro, a simulation analysis tool that incorporates transistor-level simulation analysis capabilities for full-chip mixed digital and analog designs. The tool can be integrated into the Magma RTL-to-GDSII flow or used standalone.
