Magnetic modules for LAN-application 18-08-08

Specifically for LAN applications, Epcos has developed magnetic modules for both electrical isolation and suppression of common-mode and differential-mode interference. The modules are available in single, dual and quad-port versions and are qualified to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020C and IEEE 802.3. The electrical isolation can withstand a breakdown voltage of 1500 V AC. The insertion loss of the modules is -1.0 dB. Values of -16 dB and -40 dB are attained for return loss and crosstalk, respectively. In addition to the standard temperature range from 0 to +70 °C, versions with an extended temperature range from -40 to +85 °C were developed for industrial applications. Typical applications are 10/100 Base-T, 1000 Base-T as well as PoE (Power over Ethernet).
