Maxim acquires Sensordynamics 18-07-11

SensorDynamics, a specialist in MEMS and wireless semiconductor products, was acquired by Maxim Integrated Products. Maxim is paying approximately $130 million plus the assumption of about $34 million in debt to acquire SensorDynamics.

In the near term, this acquisition enables SensorDynamics to focus on its engineering strength for MEMS and wireless semiconductor products, while making use of Maxim Integrated Products’ considerable manufacturing, distribution and sales infrastructure.

SensorDynamics develops inertial MEMS sensors, automotive smart-key semiconductor solutions, energy harvesting products, and fail-safe automotive know-how.
