Measurement Specialties buys HL Planartechnik 02-12-05

The American company Measurement Specialties has bought the stock capital of the Dortmund-domiciled HL Planartechnik for 6 m Euro. Measurement Specialties develops sensors and sensor-based products and achieved a turnover in 2005 of 140.9 M US$ and a net profit of 14.8 M US$. HL Planartechnik was founded in 1988 and produces inclination sensors, magnet-resistive sensors, thermopiles, sensor modules, customer-specific solutions as well as Ni-temperature and air mass sensors. In 2005 the company will achieve a turnover of approximately 14 M US$.
