Microchip announced the appointment of Derek Carlson to the position of vice president. Carlson oversees Microchip’s Development Tools Group, which is responsible for tool hardware and software development, manufacturing and customer service. Carlson joined Microchip in 1992 and has led the Development Tools Group ever since. The company also announced the appointment of Ken Pye to the position of vice president. Pye is responsible for the entire global field applications team, the corporate applications teams, and the technical training teams within Microchip’s Worldwide Sales Division. Pye has been an integral part of the Company since its inception in 1989.
