The American Bel Fuse – manufacturer of network and power components - achieved a turnover in 2004 of 190 M US$ and a profit of 24.7 M US$. Compared to the previous year, the turnover improved by 20%. The profit climbed by a happy 79 %. Last September Bel Fuse acquired 5.2 % of Artesyn shares. A complete takeover failed due to rejection by the Artesyn management.
