Miniature LEDs with maximum 620mcd 06-05-05

Red, orange, yellow and green

Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched a family of surface mount LEDs TLxH1106. The family of InGaAlP LEDs is usefull for indication and backlighting in automotive systems, message boards, gaming equipment, vending machines and other applications that require high levels of brightness at a variety of operating temperatures. Devices are available in red, orange, yellow and green, have maximum forward current (IF)ratings of 70mA, and can operate at temperatures from -40ºC to 100ºC. Currents of 50mA are possible to temperatures as high as 85ºC. When operating with a typical forward current of 50mA at 25ºC, typical forward voltages are rated at 2.1V. Under these conditions the green, yellow and orange LEDs have respective luminous intensities of 250mcd, 500mcd, and 620mcd. Toshiba offers three versions of the red LEDs with luminous intensities of 250mcd, 300mcd, and 600mcd. Package dimensions in the PLCC-3 package are 3.2mm x 2.8mm x 1.9mm. The package is footprint compatible with PLCC-4 packages. All of the devices are compatible with lead-free manufacturing processes
