Murata acquires SyChip 18-04-06

Murata has acquired privately held US based venture company SyChip, a developer of Radio Frequency Chip Scale Modules. Murata is the largest global supplier of passive components and agreed to pay approximately $140 million as the total consideration for outstanding shares, stock options, and warrants. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of April. SyChip has design and customer support centers in the USA and China. All current SyChip employees are expected to join Murata.
