Nanotechnology: Encouragement for small companies 22-11-05

The German BMBF (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) [Federal Ministry of Education and Research] intends to use the NanoChance program to encourage small and medium-sized companies in Germany in nanotechnology. NanoChance is a part of the “Nanotechnology Wins Markets” offensive that was started in the Spring of 2004. Presently within this framework, projects are financed with approximately 120 million Euro annually. With this newly publicised program, individual and linked projects are encouraged by the participation of small and medium-sized companies as well as research institutes.
