National Semiconductor reported sales of $499.0 million and net income of $90.6 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2008. The second quarter sales increased 5.8 percent sequentially from the first quarter of fiscal 2008. Compared to last year’s second quarter, sales were down slightly from the $501.6 million reported in the second quarter of fiscal 2007.
