Samsung Electronics announced that Wan Hoon Hong has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. Hong will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s Memory, LCD, Storage and System LSI divisions within the Americas. Prior to his appointment for the past twenty-five years, he was responsible for managing strategic planning, sales and marketing activities at the Memory, LCD and System LSI divisions in Seoul, Korea.
