New CEO at LynuxWorks 28-09-06



Gurjot Singh

LynuxWorks announced that Gurjot Singh has been named CEO and president of the company and that his predecessor, Dr. Inder M. Singh, has stepped up to the role of LynuxWorks chairman. Gurjot Singh has served in several roles at LynuxWorks, including COO, vice president of engineering, and director of services and marketing. Prior to joining LynuxWorks in year, Gurjot Singh founded iN Machines, a software development consulting firm specializing in real-time operating systems. He also oversaw product development, sales and marketing, quality assurance and customer service in previous positions at Dynatech Computer Systems and Cromemco.

 

Inder Singh, who was a founder of Lynx Real Time Systems (later renamed LynuxWorks) in 1988, had served as the company’s CEO since its inception.

 

LynuxWorks also announced today an expanded partnership with Xilinx, and a new embedded operating system, LynxOS-SE, including integration with the Real-Time Innovations (RTI) Data Distribution Service.
