From the 1st of January 2005 the CEO of Vishay, Dr. Felix Zandman will be succeeded by Dr. Gerald Paul. Zandman is the founder of Vishay and also the present Chairman. However, he is not leaving the company but remains Chairman and will take up the newly created position of Chief Technologist and Manager of Business Development. This corresponds to Sandman’s professional profile who, in the founding and management of the company, always built on his two strengths of technical know-how and manager qualities. The new CEO Paul has been with Vishay since 1987 and will additionally retain his present responsibilities of COO. Zandman had to cancel his visit to electronica 2004 in November in Munich for health reasons. Now he will distance himself slightly from the helm of the company and gives his successor from next January the opportunity to grow into the CEO position. At the same time he remains active as the engine and support in his company.
