Zarlink Semiconductor has announced the appointment of Dr. Stan Swirhun as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company’s optical electronics business. Dr. Swirhun is known as a founder and CEO of Picolight, a company specializing in VCSEL based optical components and transceivers. After 2004 he joined Vixel. Zarlink also announced the appointment of Peter Burke as Senior Vice President and General Manager Network Communications, and Mike McGinn as Vice President of Marketing Communications and Investor Relations.
