The components distributor Acal has formed an internal Semiconductor Division that will concentrate on the sales of active components. The leader of this segment is Peter Grolms who is responsible for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Grolms was previously active as Country Director and Managing Director at Memec in Germany. From October Acal will add the products of Microchip to its range. The company employs more than 1 000 people throughout the world and achieved turnovers of more than 400 m Euro. In Germany there are approximately 80 employees under contract who achieve an annual turnover of 50 million Euro.
