On the 1st of October 2008 Finn Roedel will take over the operative responsibilities for the German business of Panasonic Batteries. The 45-years old Roedel is the successor to Oliver Zeh who is leaving the company. Roedel has been active in the segment of industrial batteries with Panasonic in Hamburg for the past 10 years. According to AC Nielsen, Panasonic batteries have an 11 percent share of the market this year. The company is a subsidiary of Matsushita Electric Industrial. The product range includes Oxyride batteries, alkali batteries, zinc-carbon batteries, accumulators, chargers, photo-lithium batteries, silver-oxide batteries, zinc-air batteries and mini cells.
