Cypress announced the appointment of Babak Hedayati as senior vice president of worldwide marketing. Hedayati comes from Xilinx, where he headed that company's Worldwide Product Solutions Marketing Organization. Hedayati's responsibilities at Cypress will include strategic and vertical marketing, mergers and acquisitions and corporate marketing communications. He will report to Chris Seams, executive vice president of Sales, Marketing and Operations. Prior to joining Xilinx, Hedayati held positions at Altera, 3DO, Zycad, and National Semiconductor.
