New name for Sasco Holz 26-02-09

Sasco Holz, a distributor of the Arrow Electronics group will be called only Sasco from the 1st of March. The supplier of analogue and digital semiconductors, embedded solutions and passive modules, expects to be better known and better established as a brand in the market. This change of name will not be accompanied by a change in the business model.

Sasco Holz originated from the fusion in 2005 of Sasco Semiconductor and Holz. Sasco Semiconductor, on its part was founded in 1966 as Steward Aeronautical Supply Company. In 1983 Sasco was acquired by Lex in England. Sasco has belonged to Arrow since 1992. The Holz Elektronik GmbH was called into existence in 1992 by Siegfried and Frank Holz. The company became a member of the Arrow family in the year 2004, in the course of the Disway takeover.
