Infineon has reorganized itself and is adding three business departments from the 1st of January 2005 for each of which a member of the board will take responsibility. The Communication department includes mobile and wired solutions and is led by Kin Wah Loh. The Chip Card activities are being integrated into the Automobile, Industrial Electronics and Multimarket department. Responsible for this is Peter Bauer. The third department is that of memories. This will be led by Dr. Andreas von Zitzewitz. Dr. Wolfgang Ziebart will remain as President and CEO of Infineon and Peter J. Fischl Chief Financial Officer and Labor Director. Dr. Andreas von Zitzewitz will also remain responsible for the central function ‘manufacturing strategy’ and Peter Bauer for central sales functions.
