Michael Stadler, Chairman of the Board of RWE Solutions AG will become the new President of the VDE. At the 2004 VDE Congress in Berlin, the delegates voted Stadler as the successor to Prof. Dr. Klaus Wucherer. The 46-year old Stadler will thus take over the reins on the 1st of January 2005 for two years at the head of the 33,000-member association which occupies itself mainly with research, science and the promotion of growth as well as the creation of electronic standards.
