New sales and marketing director at Abacus Deltron 28-09-06

Abacus Deltron Germany has recruited Jürgen Kirtzel as Sales and Marketing Director. Before joining Abacus, Kirtzel has spent one year operating as an independent consultant. Prior to this he spent twelve years at Holz Elektronik and its parent company Disway. Kirtzel started at Holz in 1992 as a Field Sales Engineer, and was promoted to sales and purchasing director in 1997. In 2001 he joined the board of Disway. In 2003 he received a further promotion to Vice President of Sales for Southern Europe for Disway, from which he resigned when Disway was acquired by Arrow in 2004. UK-based Abacus Group acquired Deltron in January 2006, giving the Group its first presence in the German market.

 

Abacus Deltron Germany has also announced that Werner P. Hohmann, Managing Director of Abacus Deltron Germany, will retire in September 2007 after 44 years in the industry. Hohmann founded Deltron Components, formerly C&K components, in 1975 and was instrumental in forming the Deltron Electronics Group in 1997.
