LSI Logic announced that Jeff Hoogenboom has joined the company in the position of executive vice president, LSI Sales. Hoogenboom joins LSI from Intel Corporation where he last served as the vice president and general manager of the Embedded Sales Group. Upon successful close of the upcoming merger with Agere Systems, he will lead the Networking, Consumer and Storage Peripheral sales teams. He reports to Abhi Talwalkar, LSI Logic president and chief executive officer – and also a former Intel man.
