The AMA Fachverband für Sensorik e.V [Association for Sensor Technology] has nominated four works for the "Sensor Innovations Prize" valued at 10 000 Euro. Among the 46 entries, four works – two from Germany and two from other countries – have been so outstanding that the jury has announced a nomination:
Miniature optical sensor with self-cleansing for carbon and temperature measurements in the firing chamber of an internal combustion engine, Kistler Instruments AG/Sensoptic SA Schweiz.
HoloChip - Miniature optical spectrometric sensor with a synthetic holographic mirror, OptoSense AS/Sintef/Tomra Systems ASA, Norway
Gas analysis with laser-based photo acoustic, PAS-Tech GmbH, Zarentin, Germany
From this group of four nominated works, the jury, in a second evaluation phase will determine on a possible distribution of the prize and announce the one, or more, winners before the prize is awarded on the 22nd May 2007 on the occasion of the Sensor+Test 2006 in Nurenberg.
