NXP Semiconductors appointed with effect from 1 March Christopher P. Belden Senior Vice President Global Manufacturing. In this role, he will be responsible for all NXP IC manufacturing, including Front End and Back End operations. Belden joins NXP, after he left Applied Materials in 2007, where he was responsible for Global Operations. Previously he spent over 20 years at Freescale Semiconductor, being responsible for the company’s manufacturing operations.
