Premier Farnell results for the second quarter of 2009 04-09-09


In the second quarter of 2009 the distributor Premier Farnell achieved sales of 183.7 million british pounds (circa 210.2 million Euros). Compared with the same quarter of the previous year this was a fall of 17%. Profit after tax was 11.3 million british pounds (circa 12.9 million Euros). In the second quarter of 2008 profit after tax was 12.6 million british pounds. Sales of 388 million british pounds (circa 444 million Euros) were recorded at the end of the first six months. This was a fall of 16% compared with the same period of the previous year. Profit after tax was 17.4 million british pounds (circa 19.9 million Euros). Compared with the first six months of the previous year this was a drop of 43%.
