The german Association ZVEI-Fachverband Electronic Components and Systems reports a strong turnover growth in the fourth quarter of 2006 for its organized manufacturers of electronic modules. These companies include manufacturers of own products as well as production service manufacturers. The orders received remained at the same level as for the 3rd quarter. The Book-to-Bill ratio was reduced to 1.00 in the 4th quarter. In the previous 3-month period it was still 1.09. The increased turnover in the 4th quarter was achieved by an export quota of almost 19%. In total, the market for electronic modules in 2006 was almost 22.4 bn Euro and grew by 3% over that of the previous year. The ZVEI is expecting a growth of approximately 4% for the year 2007.
