Prognosis: Electrical process automation in 2007 08-10-07

Michael Ziesemer

The Section Messtechnik und Prozess¬automation in the ZVEI-Fachverband Automation [Measurement and Process Automation in the ZVEI Automation Association] forecasts a growth in the year 2007 of 10% to 11% in its field. This would be an increase of 1% from the business year 2006. The growth is generally seen as worldwide. India, China, Asia and Russia are developing particularly well. Also the EU and Germany are growing sales markets for German process automation. The plant equipment market in Germany is responsible for the growth here. The Association expects a further increase in 2008 of 7% to 8% worldwide. Technologically speaking, the German process automation companies remain world leaders. This has been fostered by the ZVEI “Services in Automation” initiative of the past years. The Association’s “Roadmap Automation 2015+” will support further innovation.
